The format
You Won't Be Left Standing Around
First Round is actively hosted. The SSC committee guides participants through games and activities designed to make conversation natural, inclusive, and enjoyable.
Find Your People
Conversation prompts help you meet people with different interests, backgrounds, and experiences. Speak with several people, discover shared interests, and meet people outside your own group.
Common Ground Challenge
Small teams discover interesting things they all have in common and complete a cooperative challenge. Rewards listening, cooperation, creativity, and inclusion.
Connection Quest
Complete guided social missions around the room. Meet someone from a different industry, find someone with a shared hobby, or introduce two people who should know each other.
Activities may be adjusted depending on attendance, venue flow, and participant energy.
Recognition
SSC Community Spark Awards
At the end of the hosted programme, three participants receive recognition based on how they contributed to the experience, not popularity or loudness.
The Connector
Introduced others, included quieter participants, and helped people connect.
The Energy
Participated positively, encouraged others, and helped create a welcoming atmosphere.

Registration and Welcome
Check in, receive a name tag, collect a welcome drink, and meet your first few connections.
Welcome and Event Introduction
The host explains the event flow, safety rules, community expectations, and activities.
Find Your People
A guided activity that helps participants start conversations and meet several new people.
Common Ground Challenge
Small teams discover shared interests and complete a cooperative challenge.
Social Break
Continue conversations, refresh drinks, and reconnect.
Connection Quest
Complete guided social missions around the room.
Team Challenge or Backup Game
A collaborative activity selected based on the energy and flow of the room.
Participant Voting
Vote for people who helped create an inclusive and positive experience.
SSC Community Spark Awards
Three participants receive recognition and mini prizes.
Open Socialising
The hosted programme slows down while participants continue talking and ordering drinks from the venue.
